It's a Jungle Out There
When I left off last week, I had just wrapped
up a couple of days with Jin. She is a bar girl working down in
Pattaya. I told her that I was very tired that I just wanted to sleep
alone and I didn't take her again. And as I wrote to you last
week, as I walked away, I heard her tell one of other girls at the bar "He doesn't like me".
I felt a little sad about that, because she took my departure a little
personally, and this is because she is not looking to be professional bar
girl. Her being in Pattaya is a means to an
end.
And for her that end is probably to find a longer term relationship with
someone that loves her and will keep her. I think the far majority of
girls in
Pattaya would leave there for a more normal home life very quickly.

That night I didn't take a girl. I did slept alone. I can get caught up on my sleep when I'm alone and so being alone is a very acceptable. When I have a longer term girl friend, I can get a adapted to sleeping together comfortably but that is seldom the case with new girls who are hot and you want to touch them all night. This is major down side to whoring around - it tends to drain you and you don't feel your best.
So, I took a break and the next day I felt rest up and that night I went back to Club Boesche again. I just
was going to just run through the
place to see if Dolly was there. I thought that I might bump into her
again-- but she wasn't there at time, I assume she was working.
The girl who I paid to model for me a few days earlier was there and we
chatted for a while (girl in this picture who you have seen in weeks past).
I ordered a drink for me and one for her. She seemed to know that I had
taken Dolly and asked about her wanting to know if I had seen her. I
brushed it off as not important. I think this her way of
"clearing me" for an approach. She wanted to see if I was there
looking for Dolly. Girls have an unspoken code in that they will avoid
another girl's customer under normal circumstances. This is not always the case as some
customers are "whales" and are just over-flowing with cash and prizes.
Frequently when there is a dispute between girls, it's over a customer.
So, this girl was feeling me out for some basic clearance, and I gave it to
her.
Remember, this is the girl you see in these pictures. She said that she wanted to go with me. I told her normally I'm not interested in short time. She said, "well, I'll just come and sleep with you". I said, "just sleep". Are you sure? And I'm skeptical because this is a highly unusual thing to say. She confirmed it. I thought about it and I was feeling right at the time and I agreed. I paid the bar fine of 600 baht and took her with me.
We immediately when out to eat. I was hungry; she was not. She recommended a restaurant that I had not been to before. You know on Walking Street where the white euro-trash dancers (are up on the second floor behind the window? There is a place right underneath there where you see a glass lined counter. The restaurant area is white and there a handful a tables on the right. I didn't catch the name. I have seen this place many times before but just never checked it out. She said the food there was good. We stopped. I ordered the chicken breast stuffed with raisons and cheese. It was excellent. That came with a potato vegetable side covered in a tomato sauce. Seemed almost like home cooking. The price was about 250 baht and the portions were so large, I had to take half of that order back to the hotel room. It's was indeed a great deal.
While we sitting there and I was feed my face, we were chatting. She wanted to know about my business and I had just previously made a great sale to Tony's Disco. So, I mentioned it and she said that she knew Tony. I said really? She said she had partied with Tony, her and 3 other girls. I give my head a little twist and opened up my eyes.. I said, "You partied with Tony?". She smiled and kind of laughed it off. I told her that I had heard that Tony enjoyed the company of more than just a single girl. She mentioned of couple of his preferences and I smiled when she told me (holding up her hand to clarify). It's interesting to know that Tony is just the like the rest of us -- he puts his pants on one leg at a time. She said her experience with Tony happened a long time ago.
Again, this is the same girl that you see in these photos and she has been in Pattaya working about 2 years. She says that she as a list of regular clients. She says that they call her from Bangkok and come down to see her on a regular basis. I believed her.
When we finished up dinner, we headed back to the hotel. Somehow, her intent to "sleep over" was transformed into "short time". And I laughed thinking here is another girl who is changing the agreement and hustling me a little bit.... but looking at that body. I thought about it.... I told her Ok, we'll do the short time. So, I didn't make a fuss. I mean, just look at that picture taken with UV LED light. Doesn't that body just call you? When I see that photo I just imagine reaching my hands out to spread those leg open and snuggling up for a little quality time. And with the black light, I can even play CSI and look her over for trace evidence...LOL, Ok, I'm screwing around with you guys...
What can I say, I enjoy the naught night life... No apologies for that.
She was there about an hour or so. There was nothing particularly noteworthy about the romp. She felt as good as she looks in these pictures. I slipped her 1.5k. She was very nice to me. I had no complaints. Sorry that I don't have more to say about the details of this encounter. Sometimes it is not very in depth. Sometimes its very surface and non-descript.
This is now the 3rd girls that I have taken from Club Boesche - each excellent. (by the way, I need to issue a disclaimer here -- I know the management at Club Boesche and we don't exactly hang out together but they are civil to me. I generally like them. I think they run a good business and do the best they can for their customers and employees. They are not paying me for this endorsement. I do plan on taking girls from other establishments in the future so as not to seem like I'm playing any favorites here at my web site. I generally go where I feel welcomed and appreciated).
This wraps up my Pattaya escapade for this trip. My writing on the last three article and today's article accounts for about 5 days of NNL fun. Money spent in 5 days on just the girls.... about 15k baht. That is approximately $430 dollars. Wow, that is some cash (remember, I'm kee neeow). Still, if you were in Vegas, you would never be able to accomplish the same things there for this small figure. In terms of flesh, Pattaya is the poor man's Vegas. (by the way, I have had a couple of laps dances in Vegas at the Craze Horse II, but nothing else so I'm not exactly an expert on Vegas).
I think I need take a girl from AngelWitch or a superstar from Living Dolls Showcase girl next time around. I'm not sure at this point. I'll let you know.
Stickman this week; "Get a Job / Get a Visa"
![]() |
This shows Stickman readership level over a 3 year period. The yellow arrow is last year in November when the controversy erupted when I started this site and began to question Stickman's commentary. This eventually lead to us revealing his name and where he taught at an English school. |
Stickman is still suffering from serious loss of readership. I almost don't understand it myself. All the parts of his site are back up and running now. He has had the weekly column up again for 11 weeks now. His reader's submission area is growing in size each week. His site has never had more advertising that it does right now. It's full of advertising. So, why can't Stickman reclaim his normal readership levels?
Oh, wait a minute. He readers are being forced out of the country. Well, hell let's get them all a job and a Visa so they can stay. Right? Stickman can't really make any more money with local businesses if you can't send them customers on a regular basis.
Well then, this is the reason for Stickman numbers being down then. Farangs has just flat out been leaving the country.
Stickman approached his topic this week with a angle that sounds like "He is going to help you get around the Thai system". So, all of the sudden there seems to be a lot of work available to those who want it.
Wow, is it just that easy?
Do be so quick to believe that garbage. Stickman knows that he makes more money from you if you are out seeking employment (like taking TEFL English courses?).
The "Galt Meter" would guess (my guess is as good Stickman's guess) is that there are NOT any more job here today then there were 6 months ago -- or a year ago. Nothing has magically happened recent months to stimulate growth or new jobs for foreigners. If anything the climate is worse right now due to the changing tide of political landscape. I mean -- Stickman, give us a freik'n break with the buffalo shit.
The truth is there may be English teaching job out there that were not previously filled (and for good reason). You may be able to snag those but keep in mind that with a surplus of manpower available, these schools will only take more and more advantage of you. If they CAN treat you like shit - they WILL treat you like shit. This is the rule of the road when you work for a Thai entity private or public. (I hear examples of this on a regular basis even from Thais workers themselves).
I can guarantee you that the policies at the local labor office haven't changed to your advantage. If anything they have probably tightened up a bit. The first thing that the labor office does when a job opens up is question why a farang should get it. They don't want Thais losing good job to foreigners. So, don't be buffaloed into thinking that there are just tons of good jobs laying around Thailand just waiting for you to waltz into them.
There are shit English jobs here that may be easy pickings for those who are native English speakers. I'm not saying you can't find a good non-teaching job, I'm saying that it's not just that easy and you'll have to look hard and then fight for it.
IF ANYTHING - finding a good position is harder now that before because immigration and the labor office know they have to weed out a lot of dead-beat farangs (sorry let me say softer - non-preferred farangs) who are slated for being tossed out of the system right now. So, don't believe this stupid rosy pictures that Stickman has painted for you. Use your common sense.
Let me tell you one really big pit fall that you're not going to like. If you are sponsored by any Thai company (technically there are no farang companies here) and get the work permit and one year Visa based on that job, the employer in that job will hold those credentials over your head for control. When you are fired or vacate a that job, your work permit instantly becomes void and your Visa will set to expire in 7 days automatically. If you are not out of the country in 7 days, you will be in trouble with the Thai authorities. This is one reason why many English teachers are treated very poorly. They will screw around with you and push you to do extra work, etc knowing that you are at a disadvantage. School management can be, in Stickman's own words, "unreasonable".
The better route is to start and run you're own company (as I do). It takes a lot of work to get it started, but in the end, you won't be firing yourself anytime soon. You make your own schedule. You give yourself your own pay raise. But, its hard work and it has to be a real company. It's not something to semi-retire with. It requires some honest efforts. This choice is not for everyone but it has its advantages and rewards. You will need to have a real income to cover minimum taxes and you must employee 4 Thais (and pay their taxes too if appropriate). A good lawyer can give you the full pictures on all the requirements -- even then, you better be doing something interesting in an area of the country that really needs the jobs for their people. Sometimes I get the run around from the local tax, immigration, and labor offices too and I have been in the same location going on 5 years now. BUT, not one tells me to work overtime for free. No one tell me to put on a tie. I call my own shots and if I want to take a week off from work and go to Pattaya, then I'm free to do so.
My information is probably more accurate than Stickman's. I base it on news and current events. I base it on what I have seen and heard myself first hand.
If Stickman has a more authoritative source for his "take" on the job scene, then I challenge him to reveal them.
I challenge him first hand to tell us all exactly where those "handsomely paying teaching positions" really are so we can call a verify if what he said about this topic any merit at all. -- Opps wait a minute - you can't have those jobs because only real teachers with real qualification get those jobs. OH well, the readers of his column (save 2 or 3) are all SOL.
God, I swear, I think sometimes commentators believe their own buffalo shit. It's worth a laugh I guess. (you can include me in with those "commentators" if you like -- my feelings will not be hurt)
MangoSquashing -- Dave Fails at his Financing
Well, the news is that MangoSquashDave (MangoSauce.com) is calling it quits. Evidently the money isn't rolling in anymore. He seems to have web traffic, but anymore he in the spot light for bad mouthing people, posting potentially irresponsible things and just causing trouble in general.
Dave is a funny guy. He scouts around looking for odd-ball embarrassing news that he can post about Thailand or people inside Thailand. When he sees a target -- he creeps up on it, lift's it's tail and smacks in the balls with a base ball bat. Frequently he has been getting away with it. However, when he discovers that he's unknowingly targeted a sleeping lion, and that target decided to go for some retribution, he gets all excited like a little girl and runs around with arms and hands flailing screaming -- I'm being stalked, I'm being stalked. He'll swear there's an Internet stalker after him. This seems to be one of his favorite pastimes -- being stalked. It's almost as if he enjoys it. Alternatively, if he may rant and rave about his right to free speech being encroached on.
David has taken about 4 or 5 shots at me personally. I don't mind the criticism. But I think posting outright lies knowing they are outright lies is calling for some retribution of some kind.
Take a look at these:
http://www.mangosauce.com/internet/keith_summers_gets_15_minutes.php
http://www.mangosauce.com/internet/keith_summers_gives_us_stickman_porn.php
Here is an article where he calls me a stalker:
http://www.mangosauce.com/fiction/not_mango_sauce_david_stalker.php
If you place my name in Google like this
site:MangoSauce.com "Keith Summers"
Then you will that my personal name shows up 71 times at his web site -- most of them in a very unfriendly way. This doesn't even count the number for "Keith" and "Summers" and "Galt" and "John Galt" listings. All together I would say in these articles and others -- there must be hundreds of references to me and my name. My phone in there and business name and address and there is a mixture of truth and lies are in there.
There are numerous threats against my person from secret third parties. Lots of name calling etc. Most of it just bullshit and foolishness and it makes little difference to me in the long run. All of this published because David made this happen.
But, let's take a harder look at what David says. This is in his most recent article on the right.
David admits that he has received a great deal of hostility from others. This was long before I came on the scene. He claims he even received death threats.
But, he claims that I'm the most determined stalker to date. And I've never threatened David. I've only been playing with him. I must not be "all wind and piss".

At some appropriate point -- I'll out David here as a way of returning the "thank you" for all the nice web traffic I have received.
Here is a funny comment... This one takes the cake.
David says, "Naturally, I value my privacy". What the hell? He has never valued anyone's else privacy before.
David has been using people's privacy as a weapon against them for years, and yet here he say's he "values" his privacy. David is a very funny guy.
Oh, one more thing. The part about David not have enough money is probably true enough. His friends have told me that when they are all out at the pub together that they each buy rounds of drinks in turn. And when it comes David's turn to buy -- somehow he slips away from the group so that he doesn't have to pay. So, I would say we have some reasonable confirmation on his weakened financial state.
When we "out you" David, I'm sure there will be a few people looking for you... but somehow I don't think they are going to have buying you beer.
We'll be seeing you around say..... Victory Monument?..... he he he (David like to chase skirt there). Good luck on that new job of yours. All the fine "commenting" you have been doing about other people may be coming back to haunt you at some point.
Stickman says: "Its a Jungle Out There"
Stickman made a final statement at the end of his last column and here it is:
|
Bangkok's Internet landscape is not the friendly, welcoming environment it once was. The farewell of a popular site this week is a symptom of the growing discontent felt by many. It used to be that Bangkok's websites were places were friends could be made and where useful information could be found. But nowadays it seems that the Bangkok online neighbourhood is an unsafe environment where people say things behind pseudonyms that they would never ever say in the real world. The unwritten code of what is said online staying in the online world and not going over into people's private lives seems to be an ideal from the distant past. I'm sorry to say that Bangkok's internet landscape is fast becoming a hornet's nest. |
The only discontent that is really growing, is the discontent about guys who are using the Internet to publish false information and lies in an attempt to obtain easy cash or hurt other people.
If Paul is sad because the Internet is not friendly anymore - he can blame that on the inherent corruption of commentators who think that they can just write anything they like.
What is this dichotomy between the "on-line" and the "read world". People do you see this? Is Paul's mind set becoming apparent to you? This is exactly the type of writing from a man who thinks there is a false world of sorts on-line. He talks about it as if it's not the real world.
|
Exclusive Sponsor of this web site. |
What about newspaper - it's just ink and paper, it's not the real world. Why don't they publish falsehoods in there?
What about TV, it's just electromagnetic waves and electronics -- it's not real world either. OH yes, you can't even see or feel electromagnetic energy. So, that must not be the real world either. I guess we can be sloppy about information when its in the form of radio waves too. Right?
The truth is, if the newspapers and the TV were being lazy and publishing conflicting things that mixed the news with their advertising income and produced a result that caused consumers to lose money, we would lynch them and string them up and punish them for hurting the public good. Wouldn't we? Isn't that what would happen?
Shouldn't the on-line world should follow the real world just like mass media does. Shouldn't publishers exercise a bit of responsibility about what they say?
People are starting to make real decisions and spend their money looking at the Internet for guidance. How is it that Stickman should suggest it is not real? That money he gets for ads on his web site is real enough.
Some people just don't like to take responsibility for what they publish on line. Is their excuse "it not real"?
Paul says calls it an "unsafe environment where people say things behind pseudonyms that they would never ever say in the real world"
Let me say this -- I "The Galt", Keith Summers absolutely unequivocally will repeat in person everything that I say on this web site without any reservations. Additionally, I take my own advice. There is no phony baloney about what you read here. This is a non-fiction publication and I am not bashful to own up to it.
I challenge The Great Stickman (Paul Owen) to follow suit and "own up" to his publication in the same way. I want to know if he has got the balls to come forth and put his word on the line.
Oh wait (head smack), he's changed. I almost forget. He's not farang anymore. Saving face just may be more important to him and telling the honest truth and protecting his readership.
While we're at it, can we call up Brian Williams at NBC news and tell him that he can't talk about people's private lives anymore because well, the TV news might become a hornet's nest.
Private / Public Lives
If you want to publish private information for the benefit of the public good, then people should be allowed to do so anonymously. However, if that same person wishes to make money off that effort, then they should be prepared to answer to the public when scrutinized.
Stickman is one of the larger personalities in the Thailand Internet market. But, he is afraid of being in the public eye. I know he has his reasons, his several jobs are in conflict. That is a situation that he should find the wherewithal to resolve if he is going to move forward on the web.
Did I interpret Stickman correctly in his paragraph above? I mean, its not like he was bold enough to be more clear. He likes to to be vague sometimes.
The Great Galt Almost Gets a Terrible Beating !!!!
People, it has been 15 years since I have run
a race. The years just flew by. During those year I was
either not training
at the time or as in most cases, I'm not around when the race was being
held.
(by the way people, I'm the only white guy in
the pictures below so I'm easy to spot).
It just so happened that about a week ago, there was a race during the afternoon right in front of my building. I couldn't miss it. I had to give it a whirl. I knew that I wouldn't take a top place in this because there are a lot of other more talented guys out here, but I wanted to see where I stood. It was time to get back out there and mix it up with big boys.
There is another guy in town who I know who had been the local champion for many years in his age group. I have been joking with him for 3 or 4 years now about who was faster -- either me or him. We laughed about it. He keep pointing to my gut and laughing about how I need to drop a few pounds. I wholeheartedly agree with him. I tell him in Thai that "I eat too much rice". He doesn't speak any English. He is good people -- the salt of the earth. He is a perfect example of the kind of people that care so much for in Thailand. When I met people like this, I think there are no better people in whole world.
Here he is in the picture on the right. He doesn't train very often yet he still remains very fast. I think he has more natural talent for running than anyone who I have ever met. At age 48 with minimal training he can still outrun most people. I don't know how he does it accept for the fact he is still light weighted and seems to maintain good muscle mass. He has a simple job working at a bicycle shop assembling bicycles. He works hard. He is there most everyday. If he actually would have the time to properly train, he would remain tops in his field for his age.
The race was for 4km. That is pretty short and I'm typically not so good at the shorter runs because it takes me some time to warm up and get my body working right. It I start out too fast, I cramp up and I feel terrible. Unfortunately, 4km is over in about 12 minutes and that doesn't give you much time to start slow. So, I did the best I could.
Anyhow, the point I wanted to make about this race is that I nearly got beat by a 12 year old girl. Never, has that happened to me before. How embarrassing. Here I am at the last 50 meter of the race digging down for anything that was left (not much). I just passed that girl about 30 seconds before these pictures were taken. (note to self, "Dear Keith, please start at the front of the pack next time so you won't get beat by tiny 12 year little girl.") As you can also see, my friend in the yellow shirt (orange shorts) finished ahead of me by about 10 meters. I couldn't quite catch him. (second note to self, "Dear Keith, please follow your friend's lead and start at the head of the pack so you won't get beat by all the older guys in the next race")
Oh, well. At some point I'll have to slow down -- I think I'll give up running -- say, when I'm 60? I read an articles a few months back that said something about 60 being the new 40. If that's true, I'll claim that 40 is the new 20.
Here are the some of the winners. The girl on the far left was the one right behind me. She is running far faster than her normal years. I would say her speed is comparable to a good high school level where the girls would normally be 5 years her senior. The other 3 guys here are the top guy finishers in each age group. My friend, did not place in the top three on this run but I think he was close. He and I came in at the pace of 7 minute per mile -- which is pretty bad. We should both be at about the 6 minutes a mile pace to be respectable.
Calling Mrs. Stickman / Did She Respond?
We had contact from a person this week claiming to be the former Mrs. Stickman. I had enough communication from her for me to believe that in fact was communicating with the correct person.
I can not say too much about the communication. She was decent to me. I told her a few things about the situation between Paul and I that she did not know.
She really didn't say anything about Paul and that was a reasonable position to take. Her desire at this point is not to get involved with any on-line discussion about her former husband. She has no interest in making any statements.
I gathered that she was especially sensitive to me, because -- well, she has been told so many bad things about me. That put her on the defensive and made her a bit frightened of me.
My request has gone out, I think I did receive an answer that I believe is reasonable and so we'll move on. I have no interest in hounding her. I respect her decision not to speak.
Was I really talking to the correct person? Both Paul and I may never know for sure.
Looking at the Numbers -- They are up solidly this Week Again...

I think the boys are digging the nude photos -- sorry I miss-spoke. Let me reiterate. (speaking like a museum curator) I do believe the patrons were particularly taken with the fine art on display....and this history behind each piece....
We see a spike this week to 572 on Thursday. Most other days are the same at 250 to 300 with a small bump up on Sunday which is of course when Stickman publishes.
Its nice to have a few visitors. I mostly receive supportive email too. I appreciate it.
Rumor has it that The Galt numbers may see a boost in the coming weeks.... It is true? Time will tell.
From The Galt Bag of Mail
Last week, I comment that I thought wages of 400 and 500k baht a month were just a little too good to be true.
This week, a reader emailed me with this thought:
| I would like to point out that there are hundreds of expats in Thailand that not only are paid their full home country salary, but get 20% or more premium for working overseas as well as housing and living allowances that can take gross salary well over $150k. It is not pie in the sky at all, especially in the Oil and Gas business. I can think of 5 companies that have over 100 expats each. |
Let's see, 150k USD a year is about 500k baht a month. Ok, maybe it is true. So there may be a minimum of 500 people at these extremely high wages. Ok, thanks to this reader for his input.
The Wrap Up...
We wrapped up my last trip to Pattaya in this article today. This was the final day of about a 5 days holiday spree. It was nice, and I had no problems that week. Not a soul called me out as "The Galt". No one turned their head twice. I was almost disappointed in a way, but that's ok - I'm was there for a little business and a little "itch scratching". I was not disappointed on this trip.
I go to great lengths to talk about ethics and being honest on the net. I hope you guys don't feel like I'm beating a dead horse. I'm in a little bit of crusader to invoke some honest published from the Thailand commentators. Perhaps this is a foolish effort. I don't know.

Just for the record. I will tell that that everything that I publish, I believe is true. I make some efforts to verify as much as the information that I can. I qualify any statements that I'm not sure about.
There is not a lot of subject matter here because I don't make it a point to rely on others to gather information from all point of the country. Too much of it can easily be false. It's hard to trust others in some cases with money is involved.
Unfortunately, this is particularly true in places like Thailand where lies and "un-truths" are not crimes against consumers. Here, its your responsibility to protect yourself. If you embrace that distinction between the west and here then you'll do ok and your first instinct won't be to trust someone's word (sadly).
People, if were going to Pattaya more often with a wad of cash, I think I would make most of my publishing about the girls. They are always seem interesting to me. But, that's just me. Others are much more interested in talking about the virtues of English teaching.
Thanks for stopping by.
